Kevin Nelson, ASM Akron Chapter Materials Advantage Member Receives the 2017 Edward J. Dulis Scholarship from the ASM Materials Education Foundation

The Edward J. Dulis Scholarship provides $1,500 towards educational expenses for one academic year.  It is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate student at the junior or senior level who demonstrates exemplary academic and personal achievements, interest and potential in metallurgy or materials science and engineering, as well as financial need.

The scholarship was established in 2003 by the family of Mr. Dulis to honor his interest in education, his involvement in and commitment to ASM International.

Additionally, Kevin was provided with up to $500.00 for expenses to attend the Materials Science & Technology Conference that is being held October 8-12, 2017, Pittsburgh, PA.  There will be a special awards presentation at the ASM Leadership Awards Luncheon on Monday, October 9, 2017.
