Presentation Topic: Pearl Harbor – The Rest of the Story by Reed Kimball, MAPS Air Museum
We are all familiar with the story of the attack on Pearl Harbor. We learned it in school. We need to understand, however, that the history that we were taught in school normally only represents one perspective of the event. One of the things that are learned is that history is usually written by the "winner" - but it is always written by the "home team". If that is true, and we always cheer for the home team, how do we portray those on the other side? Reed Kimball will be showing some of the facts that we are not taught and to show the attack from the perspective of the Japanese.
