The annual Akron Area Engineers Week Banquet will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015. We hope that you can join us for an engaging evening.
Tickets are on sale with a discounted early price of $25 ($20 for students) before February 1, 2015. After that date, tickets are $30.00 and $20.00 for students.

This year the ASM Akron Chapter is proud to present the ASM Akron Outstanding Achievement Award to Mr. Charles Kay, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, ASB Industries, Inc. of Barberton Ohio.
Charles Kay has been with ASB Industries, Inc. for over 29 years. His area of expertise is marketing and sales in industrial markets focusing on surfacing enhancement technologies with a focus on thermal spray processes. ASB Industries, Inc., located in Barberton, Ohio serves industrial markets in North America with International technology collaborations.
In addition, Mr. Kay has been involved with the Thermal Spray Society of ASM International serving on the Board as Vice President, President and Past President as well as serving on and chairing various committees.
His current project is co-editor of the upcoming Handbook on High Pressure Cold Spray. Cold spray is one of several innovative processes developed at and utilized by ASB Industries, Inc.
Charlie has also served on the Nominating Committee for ASM International. Charlie is a 25-year member of ASM and supports the local Akron Chapter including sponsorship of the annual Thermal Spray Technical Night meeting, Student Night and the Annual Teachers Camp.
Outside of ASM activities, Charlie has served on the Board of Directors of the Medina County Hospice. It is with great pleasure and appreciation that the ASM Akron Chapter bestows this honor upon Mr. Kay.
The next regular meeting of the ASM Akron Chapter will be on Wednesday, March 18, at the New Era Restaurant and will feature our Annual Thermal Spray Night.
